The 7.3L Godzilla is a 445-cubic-inch gasoline V8 featuring a cast-iron block, aluminum cylinder heads, pushrod/OHV design and electronic fuel injection. The factory engine is not rated at 1,000 HP; achieving this output requires performance modifications such as forced induction, upgraded fuel delivery, strengthened internals and custom ECU calibration.
